with Dr. Jonny Norris & Kristen Saczawa, RDH
$40660
Participants will learn how, when, and why to best employ medical measures for dental disease management while considering therapeutic treatments as being in the interest of patients in diverse socioeconomic populations. Specifically, we will learn indications and contraindications to sealant, silver diamine fluoride(SDF), and ITR placement. We will review and explore emerging topics and materials in minimally invasive dentistry to include Povidone Iodine; Papacarie Duo; Nanosilver Fluoride technology; P11-4 (curodont); and arginine. The hands-on portion of the course will provide participants with an opportunity to place glass ionomer pit and fissure sealants, SDF, as well as practice ITR placement on teeth. Evidence supporting rationale and technique will be presented.
