Techniques in Dental Radiology for Dental Assistants (Hybrid)

On-line lectures and learning activities are coordinated with laboratory practice to develop dental radiographic techniques. Students are required to schedule two clients. Techniques covered include: digital radiography, processing, mounting and evaluating films. Emphasis placed on client and operator protection, exposure and processing errors, asepsis protocol, radiographic techniques and equipment function. Following this course, passing of RHS portion of DANB exam is required according to NH law. NOTE: This course does not meet the radiology course requirements for the NHTI Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene programs.
Online portion: April 27 to June 19
Clinical portion (NHTI CAMPUS):
Friday May 8: 8:30am– 5:30pm
Friday May 22: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Friday June 5: 8:30am -5:30pm
Friday June 19th: 8:30am -5:30pm.
