Carpentry Advanced Skills - Part 2

Tuesdays and Thursdays, August 27 - December 12, 2024 from 4-8pm
This course is designed for carpenters with entry-level experience who want to enhance their skills via classroom and hands-on practical exercises. Participant will complete modules and course content based on the nationally recognized National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) curriculum. To be considered for the course you must have completed Carpentry Advanced Skills-Part 1 or test out of Part 1.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Floor Systems
- Wall Systems
- Ceiling Joist & Roof Framing
- Introduction to Building Envelope Systems
- Introduction to Masonry
- IRC: Lockout/Tagout
- Electrical Safety
- Introduction to HVAC
- Introduction to Paints & Coatings
- Introduction to Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems
